DPE EITI

The Department of Petroleum and Energy (DPE) is one of the agencies/ministries in Papua New Guinea, who contribute information towards the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative or EITI.

PNG became a member of the EITI towards the end of 2013. The areas of reporting include Tenements, Production and Revenue Collection. Work is in progress to improve the overall Data Management System of the Department coverall the full value chain of the Oil and Gas Industry.

The challenges brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic had affected the work output in 2019. The remaining data on Tenements, Production and Revenue Collection for the year 2019 is finalized and approved for disclosure on the DPE website
